GPS art of Chinese zodiac signs drawn on place names with tiger✨
It’s the start of the “Chinese Zodiac Run,” a course I’m planning to make an annual tradition for the New Year’s holiday.
The first work is a course of the tiger, the Chinese zodiac sign for 2022, to be drawn in Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
Originally named after a gate in the outer moat of Edo Castle, the area is now the center of Japan with a forest of government offices and office buildings, Toranomon Hills opened in 2014, and Toranomon Hills subway station will open in 2020. With the opening of Toranomon Hills in 2014 and the Toranomon Hills subway station in 2020, it is one of Tokyo’s central areas where further development is expected.
