GPS art of peace marks drawn on war heritage✨
Run and walk for PEACE! This is a course where you can use GPS art to draw a peace mark at the site of the Funabashi Radio Tower, where the “Niitaka Yamanobore (code for the start of the attack on Pearl Harbor)” that triggered the Pacific War was transmitted.
The Funabashi Transmitting Station of the Naval Wireless Telegraph Office, located in the Gyoda district of Funabashi City. It was established as the Navy expanded after the Russo-Japanese War. The 200 meter high main tower stands in the center, and its performance was one of the best in the world at that time. It is famous for notifying the public of the damage caused by the Great Kanto Earthquake, but it is also known for transmitting the “Niitaka Yamanobore,” which triggered the Pacific War.
After the war, it was seized by the Occupation Forces, and after its return, it was dismantled and a new town was built.
This is the only place in Japan where you can draw a circle as large as this. There is another radio station in Sasebo, but it is not possible to draw a circle as large as this.
Because of this time, I would like you to send out an anti-war message. It will not be dense to participate in demonstrations, so I think the message will be appropriate for the Corona era.
