GPS art of a frog drawing in the name of a place named “Rain”🐸
This is a series of GPS art courses that draw frogs in “place names with “ame (雨)” (meaning “rain”).
Tsutsumidoriamamiyamachi (堤通雨宮町) was created by the merger of Tsutsumidori (堤通) and Amamiya (雨宮). Tsutsumidori was called Tsutsumi Ashigarumachi because there was an Ashigarumachi (foot soldier’s mansion) in the Sendai domain period. Amamiya is the town around Amamiya Shrine. Formerly called Sumiyoshi-daimyojin, it was renamed and moved to its present location in 1872.
It is located in the castle town on the north side of Sendai Castle. We hope you will try it while sightseeing 🐸🐸🐸
