GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Oita’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese zodiac animal “dragon (龍)” around Mitarai Jinja Shrine, a spot in Oita Prefecture that is associated with dragons.
Mitarai Jinja Shrine in Oita City has an inner shrine called “Ryu-ketsu” (dragon hole) behind the main shrine. The Ryu-ketsu is also the place of worship for “Hokushin Daimyojin,” the deity of the North Star and the Big Dipper.
Since 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, Mitarai Shrine may become a popular Hatsumode spot. Please try it as a sightseeing trip to avoid the density 🐉✨
