GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Hyogo’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for “dragon (龍),” the animal of the Chinese zodiac, around Hirota Shrine, a spot in Hyogo Prefecture with a connection to dragons.
Hirota Shrine in Nishinomiya City is home to a treasure called the “Dragon Goddess Pearl Nonaoqian (竜女神珠不直銭)”. Founded by Empress Jingu in 201 A.D., it is the oldest shrine in Hyogo Prefecture, and its deity is Amaterasu Aratama (天照大神荒魂), who is said to have divine virtues related to matchmaking and healing illness.
Since 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, Hirota Shrine may become a popular spot. Please try it as a sightseeing tour to avoid the density 🐉✨.
