The Ashiwa River runs through the center of Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture.
The route passes through more than 600 cherry trees lining both banks of the river, a total length of more than 2 kilometers.
The south bank of the river is one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan.
