GPS art of a dragon drawn at Shiogama’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for “dragon(龍),” the animal of the Chinese zodiac, around Shiogama Shrine, a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) spot in Miyagi Prefecture that has a connection with dragons.
Shiogama Shrine, located in Shiogama City, Miyagi Prefecture, is well known as the god of the sea and salt. The shrine is dedicated to the god Shiotsuchi Ojinokami, who introduced salt manufacturing technology, and is believed to be beneficial for maritime safety, prosperous business, and purification. It is also known as the god of easy delivery and childbirth.
It is also said to be the “strongest power spot in Miyagi” as it is a dragon hole spot where energy from the dragon’s veins gushes out.
The shrine boasts the highest number of worshippers in Saitama Prefecture, and is expected to be very crowded. Please try to visit the shrine as a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) to avoid the crowds🐉✨
