GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Ehime’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for the Chinese zodiac animal “dragon (龍)” in the vicinity of Ryusenin Temple, a spot in Ehime Prefecture with a connection to dragons.
Ryusenin Temple, located in Miyuki-cho, Matsuyama City, is a temple of the Ishizuchi Shingon sect of Buddhism. Ishizuchi Daigongen (three deities: Ishizuchi Kongo Zaogongen, Muehokaro Zaogongen, and Ryuohokaro Zaogongen) is the principal deity, and the Godaison and Kobo Daishi are enshrined in the main hall. In addition to the Mizuko Jizoson and Mukonen Jizoson, seven Jizoson who were exposed to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima are enshrined in the temple complex.
Since 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, Ryosenin Temple may become a popular spot for Hatsumode. Please try it as a sightseeing trip without the density 🐉✨
