GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Ymaguchi’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for “dragon (龍),” the animal of the Chinese zodiac, in the vicinity of Amekugu Shrine, a spot in Okinawa Prefecture associated with dragons.
Amekugu Shrine, one of the eight Ryukyu shrines, was built between 1465 and 1487, and was relocated to the grounds of Seigenji Temple in 1734. In addition to Benzaiten, the precincts of the temple are closely connected to the Utaki and the shrine, giving visitors a sense of the unique history of faith in Okinawa.
Since 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, Amakugu Shrine may become a popular spot. Please try it as a sightseeing tour to avoid the density 🐉✨
