Mimuroto-ji Temple was founded in the Nara period (710-794) and is a historic temple surrounded by important cultural assets. The garden on the temple grounds, Yorakuen, is planted with 20,000 azaleas, 20,000 hydrangeas, and 1,000 rhododendrons.
In June, the stone steps leading to the main hall are lined with hydrangeas, representing a rising dragon and jewel.
This course takes you between the Uji River and the mountain temple, so it’s perfect for training!
