GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Shiga’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for “dragon (龍)of the Chinese zodiac, in the vicinity of Keyakurotatsu Shrine, a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) spot in Shiga Prefecture associated with dragons.
Tsukugusuma Shrine was built on an island where the dragon god is said to have lived. Today, the shrine still enshrines the dragon god. The shrine has a “dragon god worship place,” which is considered the most spectacular view of Chikubu Island. The official name of this Ryujin Worship Center is “Hachidai Ryuoh Haijyo,” but it is also commonly called “Ryujin Haijyo” or “Dragon God Worship Center.
The shrine boasts the highest number of worshippers in Saitama Prefecture, and is expected to be very crowded. Please try to visit the shrine as a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) to avoid the crowds🐉✨
