Snail-Shaped GPS Art Drawn at Nogawa Park, Surrounded by the Natural Beauty of Musashino🐌
This approximately 7km GPS art course allows you to draw a charming “snail” shape as you walk around Nogawa Park and its surrounding areas in Mitaka City, Tokyo. While admiring the hydrangeas that bloom throughout the park, you can enjoy the lush landscapes as you gradually complete your snail-shaped artwork. It’s a soothing walking course where you can fully appreciate both the tranquil scenery of the rainy season and the unique appeal of GPS art.
Nogawa Park, which opened in 1974, was developed from the grounds of the former International Christian University golf course. The park features the flowing Nogawa River, wetlands, woodlands, and spacious grassy areas, preserving the rich natural environment characteristic of the Musashino Plateau. The picturesque riverside scenery is especially enchanting during the rainy season, as vibrant hydrangeas bloom, warmly welcoming visitors.
Additionally, the park includes a nature observation garden, where visitors can encounter a variety of plants and insects throughout the seasons. The surrounding area retains the nostalgic atmosphere of historic Musashino, offering opportunities for a culturally rich stroll. Escape from the city’s hustle and bustle and enjoy a special experience of creating art amidst the expansive natural setting.
