Minami Ward, located in the south of Saitama City, was once part of Urawa City. The nearest station to the course, Minami Urawa Station, opened in 1961 and developed into a major transportation hub as a transfer station where the Musashino Line and Keihin Tohoku Line intersect. Because of its convenient access to central Tokyo, the area is known as a bedroom community around Tokyo, and residential areas have developed. The area is also known as a fierce battleground for tutoring schools due to its easy accessibility.
