GPS art of the place name “Kasukabe” drawn in Kasukabe City✨
This is a series of GPS art courses that draw the place name “Kasukabe” in Kasukabe City, Saitama.
There are two origins for the name of Kasukabe. The first is that the name is derived from “kasu,” “suka,” or “kawabe,” which refers to the topography of a river basin. The second theory is that the name “Kasugabe” was derived from the presence of a tribe of people who were privately owned by Princess Kasuga-no-Yamada, a member of the imperial family during the Kofun period (3rd to 6th centuries), and that a group of warriors calling themselves the “Kasukabe Clan” settled in the area during the Middle Ages.
This course allows visitors to draw a route around the central area of Kasukabe. Centered on Fuji-dori Street, the main street that runs south of Kasukabe Station, you will encounter Kasukabe City Hall, LaLa Garden, Ito-Yokado, and more. Please try it while sightseeing in Kasukabe!
