GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Kagawa Prefecture’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for “dragon (龍),” the animal of the Chinese zodiac, around Tamura Shrine, a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) spot in Kagawa Prefecture that is associated with dragons.
Tamura Shrine in Takamatsu City is a shrine dedicated to the dragon god. It is said that a dragon dwells in the inner abyss of Tamura Shrine and that anyone who peeks into the abyss will die. It is also said that whenever there was a drought in the territory, the lord magistrate always prayed to this shrine.
Although it is a popular spot for worshippers, it is expected to be very crowded in 2024, the year of the dragon. Please try to visit as a New Year’s visit to avoid the density🐉✨
