GPS Art of a Tiger Drawn on One of Shinshu’s Greatest Temples✨
This is a GPS art course of a tiger, the animal of the Chinese zodiac, drawn around Zenkoji Temple and Joyama Park, which are representative cultural assets of Nagano City. The course takes you around the city center and tourist spots, so it is recommended for a short sightseeing tour.
Zenkoji Temple is a non-denominational temple, and it is said that if you visit the temple once in your lifetime, you will be promised a life of paradise. The temple was founded in 642 when a statue of Amitabha Buddha came to Japan from Jersey. During the New Year’s visit season, as many as 500,000 people visit the temple on the first three days of the New Year.
