GPS art of a snail drawing on a “place named after rain”🐌✨
This is a series of GPS art courses that draw snails in “place names with ” rain (雨) “.
Ota Amabarashi (太田雨晴) is located on the Amaharu Coast facing Toyama Bay, with a view of the Tateyama mountain range to the south. It is considered a scenic spot that Matsuo Basho wrote about in his “Okunohosomichi” (The Road to the Deep North), and is loved by local residents as one of the most beautiful beaches in Japan.
The name of the area derives from a legend that in 1187, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, on his way to Oshu, pursued by his elder brother Yoritomo, waited for a shower to clear up on this beach.
It is one of the most famous sightseeing spots in the Hokuriku region. If you stop by, please give it a try 🐌🐌🐌
