Draw “HOT” Around Shizuoka Station and Shin-Shizuoka Station with a 4km GPS Art Walk✨
This 4km GPS art course lets you create the word “HOT” as you walk between JR Shizuoka Station and Shin-Shizuoka Station. With its compact distance, it’s ideal for the hot summer months, allowing participants to enjoy a casual art-themed stroll. The area around the stations is pedestrian-friendly, with well-maintained sidewalks and easy access, making it perfect to combine with sightseeing or shopping.
JR Shizuoka Station is a major transportation hub served by both the Tokaido Shinkansen and local train lines. The south exit area is bustling with hotels and shopping facilities, while the north side features office buildings and government institutions. Meanwhile, Shin-Shizuoka Station, the gateway to the Shizutetsu Line, is surrounded by lively attractions such as the shopping complex “Shin-Shizuoka Cenova” and numerous local cafes. Underground passages and pedestrian decks between the stations make walking smooth and comfortable.
Historically, this area flourished as a post town along the Tokaido route during the Edo period. It is also close to Sunpu Castle Park, where Tokugawa Ieyasu spent his later years. This GPS art course offers a unique way to experience both the historic charm and modern vibrancy of Shizuoka City while drawing “HOT” with your footsteps.
