Established in 135 A.D., Asakakokuzo Shrine has a history of nearly 1,900 years, and is the main shrine of Koriyama. It is also called Hachiman Shrine because Hachiman Daijin is also enshrined here. About 80,000 people visit the shrine every year on their first visit.
This is a GPS art of a tiger drawn around the Asakakokuzo Shrine. Because of its location in front of the station, the tiger is drawn in a circle around the city. This is a perfect course for a short sightseeing tour of Koriyama.
