GPS art depicting “Saitama Pose” in the Saitama prefectural capital✨
November 14 is Saitama Citizens’ Day! This is a course where you can draw “Saitama Pose” with GPS art, which is what you should do if you are a resident of Saitama Prefecture.
Urawa developed as an inn town along the Nakasendo Highway during the Edo period. During the Meiji era (1868-1912), the city became Saitama Prefecture and grew as the prefectural capital and the center of the city. It also established itself as an educational city with the opening of Saitama University, Urawa High School, and Urawa Daiichi Girls’ High School.
The course of the city is centered on the Saitama Prefectural Office, and is flanked by the Urawa Keihin Tohoku Line to the east and the Saikyo Line to the west, forming the “Saitama Pose” Hand. We welcome all residents of Saitama Prefecture, but we also welcome those from outside the prefecture to take up the challenge!
