Snails drawn in a sea of hydrangeas in Fukushima🐌✨
The temple is also known as the “Sea of Hydrangeas” or “Hydrangea Temple” because of the hydrangeas given to the temple by its parishioners.
Over the past 40 years, 5,000 plants of 30 different species have been planted in the temple precincts, and the surrounding area has become a local landmark with 13,000 plants in full bloom.
The course runs through mountainous areas, so your legs and back will get a workout.
Just right for drawing by bicycle or car, too✨
