A large group of carp streamers swimming across the Shakado River near Sukagawa Arena is held every year from early April to early May. The “river crossing” event, held in conjunction with Children’s Day, has continued every year since 1987.
If you time it right, you can enjoy it along with the avenue of cherry blossoms in full bloom on Fureai Road.
