GPS Art of Cherry Blossoms on an Old Castle beside of Shimanto River✨
Tamematsu Park is an elevated park located on the west side of Shimanto City, and was once Nakamura Castle, a castle in Tosa Province.
About 500 cherry trees, mostly Someiyoshino, have been planted in the park, making it a great spot for cherry blossom viewing. It also offers a panoramic view of the town of Nakamura, known as Little Kyoto.
This is a special GPS art course that circles the mountain of Nakamura Castle, the banks of the Shimanto River, and the city of Nakamura. The short distance also makes it ideal for a springtime cherry blossom viewing walk.
