GPS Art of Snails drawn around Japan’s oldest Zen temple🐌✨
Senkoji Temple was built in 1192 at the beginning of the Kamakura period (1185-1333) and is the oldest Zen temple in Japan✨.
There are 7,000 hydrangeas planted in the precincts of the temple and it is locally known as the hydrangea temple🐌
The temple usually holds a hydrangea festival during the peak season, but I wonder what will happen this year (2021).
The course is mainly in the paddy fields at the foot of the mountains, so it’s relatively easy to run!
