🎃 Ghostly Walk in Nishi-Yodogawa! A 12km Halloween GPS Art 👻
Here’s the perfect GPS art course for the Halloween season! In the Utajima area of Osaka’s Nishi-Yodogawa Ward, a 12km walking or running route allows you to draw the silhouette of a cute ghost on your map.
The course connects Kashima Station and Mitejima Station, guiding you through sites rich in history and culture. You’ll pass the Ezaki Memorial Hall, which showcases the history of the food industry that supported the community’s growth, the familiar hub of Nishi-Yodogawa Ward Office, the historic Kaguhashi Shrine, and the Osaka Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Japan. Adding a scenic twist, the route also follows the curving paths along the Kanzaki River, where you can enjoy the harmony of nature and the cityscape.
Nishi-Yodogawa Ward, located in the northwest of Osaka, developed historically as an industrial area. Today, it retains abundant riverside greenery while also reflecting a vibrant, multicultural atmosphere and the warmth of a traditional neighborhood. Against this backdrop, the playful ghost design makes for a delightful GPS art experience—perfect for a festive Halloween stroll or jog.
