GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Wakayama’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese zodiac animal “dragon (龍)” around Wakayama Castle, a spot in Wakayama Prefecture with a connection to dragons.
A special exhibition of “dragon” art is currently being held at the Wakayama Castle Keep in honor of the Year of the Dragon (2024). The exhibit is named after Yorinobu Tokugawa (1602-71), the first lord of the Kishu Tokugawa family, who was called “Lord Nanryu (南龍公)” after his death. 16 paintings with dragon themes by local artists are on display. The exhibit will be on display from December 26, 2023 to January 8, 2024.
Since 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, Wakayama Castle may become a popular first visit spot. Please try it as a sightseeing tour to avoid the density 🐉✨
