HOT GPS Art Through the Historical and Vibrant Town of Yawata✨
This GPS art route takes you through the vibrant neighborhoods surrounding Motoyawata Station, Keisei Yawata Station, and Onigoe Station in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, drawing the summery word “HOT.” Designed to be a compact 5km course, it’s perfect for enjoying even in the hotter months without overexerting yourself. The area’s urban convenience and deep-rooted history coexist, offering a unique walking and art experience. You’ll also find plenty of cafés and resting spots along the way, making it a comfortable and enjoyable walk.
Motoyawata Station is a key hub on the JR Sobu Line and is also connected to both the Tokyo Metro and Keisei lines, making it a lively and accessible location. The surrounding area has been developed with shopping centers and modern infrastructure, creating a highly livable urban space. Meanwhile, near Keisei Yawata Station, you’ll find Katsushika Hachimangu Shrine, said to have been founded in the Heian period. Its iconic 1,000-year-old ginkgo tree is designated as a natural monument by the city of Ichikawa.
