This urban park was opened in 1925 around Lake Tokiwa. Suwa Park has been selected as No. 1 in NHK’s “Japanese Landscapes to Leave for the 21st Century” in the comprehensive parks category, as well as one of the 100 best city parks in Japan, one of the 100 best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan, and one of the 500 most beautiful paths in Japan that make you want to walk.
