Walk and Draw “HOT” in Hondori and Hatchobori✨
Hiroshima, one of Japan’s cities known for recording high summer temperatures, now offers a 3km GPS art course in its central Hondori and Hatchobori areas. The route draws the word “HOT” and is perfect for the hot season—short enough for a refreshing walk during sightseeing or shopping.
Facing the Seto Inland Sea, Hiroshima has a warm climate and a rich history as a former castle town. Today, it is globally recognized for its Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome, symbols of its commitment to peace. Hondori and Hatchobori are the city’s bustling commercial districts, packed with department stores, arcades, and local culture.
This course takes walkers through major landmarks such as Hiroshima PARCO and Fukuya Department Store, weaving through historic streets to form the letters “HOT.” To avoid extreme heat, early morning or evening walks are recommended, allowing you to enjoy Hiroshima’s cityscape alongside the fun of GPS art.
