Drawing a “C” in the Town of Monja — A Cultural and Supportive Walk Through Tsukishima✨
International cooperation by GPS art of “C” onto Tokyo! From March 8 (Saturday) to May 31 (Saturday), 2025, a new project of “Walk in Her Shoes 2025”, “Let’s Walk and Draw “C” on the Earth! Let’s start GPS art!
Walk in Her Shoes 2025″ is an international cooperation program to raise awareness about global water issues and the current situation of women and girls in developing countries by simply walking at a time and place of your choice. Let’s draw the “C” of CARE with GPS art and send it to the world!
GPS art in Tsukishima, Chuo-ward, Tokyo. Tsukishima is a unique town where downtown atmosphere and modern urban landscape coexist. It was established as a reclamation project in the Meiji era (1868-1912), and since then, for more than 100 years, people’s lives and culture have been breathed in the area. It is especially known as a sacred place for monja-yaki, and Tsukishima Monja Street is lined with numerous specialty stores that are popular with locals and tourists alike.
The 5-km GPS Art Course takes visitors on a tour of Tsukishima’s fascinating cultural resources, including Monja Street, the Triton, a Tsukuda Island landmark, and parks along the Sumida River. You will discover something new every time you walk through the scenery where the downtown atmosphere that breathes in the narrow alleyways and modern high-rise condominiums coexist.
This year, by walking or running and leaving a trail of the “C” of CARE and posting the saved GPS image on Facebook, X (Twitter), and Instagram with the two hashtags “#Walking for InternationalCooperation2025” and “#GPSArt,” you can donate 100 yen.
