This course allows you to draw GPS art of cherry blossoms around Asahigaoka Park, one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Saga Prefecture.
Asahigaoka Park is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in western Japan, and has been selected as one of the 100 best historical parks in Japan. The park is lined with 5,000 cherry trees at a glance, and the rows of cherry trees leading to the park are called “Flower Tunnel,” attracting many cherry blossom viewers. The park was once Kashima Castle, but most of the castle was destroyed by fire during the civil war in 1874. The best time to view the cherry blossoms is usually from late March to early April, when the “Asahigaoka Park Cherry Blossom Festival” is held. During the festival, the park is illuminated so that visitors can enjoy the cherry blossoms at night.
