GPS art of the place name “Arakawa” drawn in Arakawa Ward✨
This is a series of GPS art courses that draw the place name “Arakawa” in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo.
In 1932, four towns, Minami-Senju, Nippori-cho, Mikawashima-cho, and Oku-cho, merged to form Arakawa Ward. The ward was named after the river that flows through the northern part of the ward. It is now the Sumida River, but in the past, before the Iwafuchi sluice gate was built, it was the Arakawa River. It is a bit confusing, isn’t it?
The course wanders through narrow and intricate alleys that are unique to downtown. If you want to enjoy an unusual maze space in Tokyo, this is a good choice. Please give it a try!
