A GPS art course where you can draw a snake, the animal of the Chinese zodiac, around Matsuouja Shrine, a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) spot in Nagano Prefecture.
Matsuouja Shrine in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, is also known as “White Snake Shrine” because it enshrines the spirit of a white snake. It is said that the White Snake Shrine enshrines the spirit of the snake, the master of the moat, which has lived in the Ninomaru Circle since the Sanada clan built the castle.
Matsuouja Shrine will continue to be a popular spot in 2025. Please try it during your Hatsumode🐍✨
