GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Tokushima’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for “dragon (龍),” the animal of the Chinese zodiac, around Sui Jinja Shrine, a spot in Tokushima Prefecture with a connection to dragons.
At the Sui Jinja Shrine in Kitajima Town, a dragon with a wooden snout is displayed on the toadstool in the main sanctuary of the shrine. Also, on the red seal, there is a mark of a dragon in the upper left corner. The date of establishment is unknown, but the shrine has been around for a long time and became a village shrine in 1875. The shrine grounds are covered with camphor trees and other giant trees, which are designated as natural monuments by the town of Kitajima.
Since 2024 is the Year of the Dragon, Suijinsha may become a popular first visit to the shrine. Please try it as a sightseeing tour to avoid the density 🐉✨
