GPS art of a dragon drawn at one of Aomori’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐉✨
This GPS art course allows visitors to draw the Chinese character for “dragon (龍),” the animal of the Chinese zodiac, around Utoujinja Shrine, a Hatsumode (New Year’s visit) spot in Aomori Prefecture that is associated with dragons.
Utounuma, where the Dragon God is said to live, is located within the precincts of Zentsuchidori Shrine, and has long been worshipped by people engaged in businesses related to water and the sea. The shrine has become famous for its benefits of protection from the sea and water, and is now a popular power spot.
Although it is a popular spot for worshippers, it is expected to be very crowded in 2024, the year of the dragon. Please try to visit as a New Year’s visit to avoid the density🐉✨
