Draw “HOT” in the Heat of Kagoshima City✨
Kagoshima City, one of the hottest places in Japan, is now home to a new 3km GPS art route that lets you draw the word “HOT” around Kagoshima-Chūō Station. This short-distance course is perfect for the hot season, allowing you to enjoy GPS art without overexerting yourself in the summer sun.
Located in the southernmost part of Kyushu, Kagoshima City offers a unique natural landscape with an iconic view of Sakurajima, an active volcano just across the bay. Due to the volcanic environment, the city has a warm and humid climate, and its summers are especially hot. Historically, Kagoshima flourished as the center of the Satsuma Domain during the Edo period and is deeply connected to the Meiji Restoration. The legacy of revolutionary figures such as Saigō Takamori can still be seen throughout the city. Kagoshima’s unique local cuisine and rich shochu culture also contribute to its strong regional identity.
Why not create your own “HOT” artwork in one of Japan’s hottest and most culturally rich cities?
