Chiba Shrine, a shrine to ward off bad luck, is located in the center of Chiba City. It is also the center of one of Japan’s major Myoken faiths, and is popularly known as “Myoken-sama. Due to its good location, about 650,000 people visit the shrine every year during the New Year’ s visit season, making it one of the most popular places to visit in the prefecture.
