GPS art of the place name “Sayama” drawn in Sayama City✨
This is a series of GPS art courses that draw the place name “Sayama” in Sayama City, Saitama.
The name of Sayama City is derived from Sayama Hills and Sayama Tea, a specialty of Sayama City. However, Sayama Hills are not included in the city. In recent years, there have been talks of merging the city with neighboring cities, but the merger has repeatedly failed.
The city has a strong image of being an agricultural city because of Sayama tea, but in reality, it has a well-developed industry due to an industrial park and an Air Self-Defense Force base, and its population and tax revenues are among the highest in the prefecture.
Although the population is slightly decreasing due to population decline and aging, the city still retains its brand power as a bedroom town for the Tokyo suburbs, which developed as a result of the doughnut phenomenon. Please try this GPS art as a day trip from central Tokyo!
