It’s a pun… GPS art of arrows and boards.
A course of GPS art of “arrow (ya)” and “board (ita)” drawing in Yaita City, a bedroom town in Tochigi Prefecture.
There seem to be various theories about the origin of the place name. It is said that the name “Yaeta” is a corruption of “Yaeda,” or “Yakita,” which is a corruption of “Yaeda. It is also said that “Yaita,” which means a retaining board, became the name of the place, or that it was ruled by the Yaita clan.
This course takes visitors around Yaita Station, the center of the city, and the City Hall area. You will be able to enjoy sightseeing in Yaita City through the creation of your artwork. Please give it a try!
Just Did It!
