Ban’ei racing, a tradition born in Tokachi, features powerful draft horses pulling iron sleds over sand slopes — a dramatic showcase of endurance unique to Hokkaido.
This 9km route loops past Obihiro Racecourse, Midorigaoka Park, and Obihiro Centennial Museum, letting you draw a horse shape beneath the vast Tokachi sky — a perfect way to start your year.
