🐎 Horse-Shaped GPS Walk Around Komuro Sengen Shrine 🗻
Enjoy a 6km GPS art route in Fujiyoshida that forms the shape of a running horse. Komuro Sengen Shrine, rooted in ancient agricultural beliefs, hosts a traditional yabusame festival every September. Visitors can also meet real horses at the shrine’s “Baryokuya,” highlighting the area’s deep connection with horse culture.
The route guides you through Komuro Sengen Shrine, the nostalgic Fujiyoshida Retro Shopping Street, and Fukuchi Hachiman Shrine (Watanabe Daimyojin). Situated at the foot of Mt. Fuji, Fujiyoshida has long thrived as a weaving town and maintains a rich cultural landscape shaped by pilgrimage routes and abundant spring water.
As you connect the streets, a lively horse silhouette appears on the GPS—an ideal way to pair your first shrine visit with a refreshing and meaningful New Year walk.
