Shinobazunoike Pond is a nature-rich pond in Ueno Onshi Park and is known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots. The pond is surrounded by approximately 200 cherry trees, and in spring, the beautiful reflection of the cherry blossoms on the surface of the water attracts many cherry blossom viewers. The cherry trees around Benten-do and along the boat pond are especially popular, and visitors can enjoy cherry blossom viewing while strolling along the path.
The cherry blossoms usually peak from late March to early April. Many people stop by during graduation and entrance ceremony nights because of the proximity of the university, and the cherry blossoms are lit up at night, so you can enjoy viewing the blossoms at night as well🌸
