Draw “HOT” in the Heart of Nagoya! GPS Art through the Sakae District✨
Experience a unique 4km GPS art route in the bustling heart of Nagoya’s Sakae district, where you’ll draw the word “HOT” as you walk. Designed for the summer season, this short course combines creativity and light exercise with the vibrant atmosphere of one of Japan’s most dynamic urban centers.
Sakae is Nagoya’s premier shopping and entertainment hub, lined with department stores, malls, and countless dining options. Two landmarks define the area: the Nagoya TV Tower and Oasis 21. The TV Tower, completed in 1954, was Japan’s first consolidated broadcasting tower and remains an enduring symbol of the city’s modernization. Meanwhile, Oasis 21, with its futuristic “Spaceship-Aqua” structure, is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.
Historically, Sakae flourished as a commercial hub during the Edo period as part of Nagoya’s castle town. Today, it’s a thriving center of art, culture, and design, where tradition and innovation coexist harmoniously. From seasonal events to cutting-edge exhibitions, Sakae continues to evolve while preserving its historic charm.
Starting from Sakae Station, follow the route through lively streets, enjoy the city’s urban energy, and watch as “HOT” takes shape on your GPS map. This creative experience perfectly captures the summer heat in the heart of Nagoya!
