A course on drawing in Tokyo’s representative frog temple🐸✨
There is a temple in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo, where a “memorial tower for edible frogs” was built, which is rare in Japan.
Since the early Showa period when there were many rice paddies, frogs for food have proliferated and many frogs were caught at the same time. In 1952, a memorial tower was built in Horyuji Temple to memorialize the frogs.
Perhaps that is why the temple grounds are filled with frog goods donated from all over Japan🐸🐸🐸✨
