GPS art on the famous cherry blossoms in Sendai✨
GPS art of cherry blossoms in Tsutsujigaoka Park, one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.
Tsutsuji-oka Park is known as one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Sendai. 1695, Tsunamura Date, the fourth lord of the Sendai Domain, built Shakado Hall to pray for the repose of his mother’s soul, and planted 1,000 cherry trees to make the park a place for “Shimin Yuraku” (recreation for the four citizens). The park is currently decorated with approximately 370 Someiyoshino cherry trees and weeping cherry trees that were planted at that time and later. The park is also a popular spot for families, with its spacious lawn and playground equipment.
The best time to view the cherry blossoms is usually from late March to late April, when they are illuminated by lanterns at night. This is a course where you can fully enjoy the spring in Sendai🌸
