Sendai West Park is a historic city park with approximately 200 Someiyoshino cherry trees planted in the park, which is visited by many people in spring. In addition to being within walking distance from Sendai Station, the park is located in a rich natural setting with the Hirose River flowing through it.
The cherry blossom season usually runs from early April to mid-April, during which the “Nishi Park Cherry Blossom Festival” is held.
