From there, the route takes you past Tono City Hall and onward to the historic Nabekura Castle Ruins, a site dating back to the Sengoku period. Along the way, you’ll encounter The Museum of Tono Monogatari, where the world of mythical creatures and folk tales comes vividly to life.
Adding to the mystical atmosphere, the course also passes by sacred spots such as Nambu Shrine and Hie Shrine on Mount Dainichi, both of which have long watched over the people of Tono. Together, these cultural landmarks highlight the city’s deep ties to legend and tradition.
