GPS art of a snake drawn at one of Aomori’s most popular Hatsumode spot🐍✨
This GPS art course takes you to the area around Shirahebi Shrine, a Aomori’s spot associated with snakes, where you can draw a snake, the animal of the Chinese zodiac.
Shirahebi Shrine in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, was built on Hiyori Mountain north of Kyudoji Temple as the local deity of Sakamoto Village, and was later moved to its present location. The tablet monument in the shrine precincts was erected about 230 years ago, and was designated as a tangible folk cultural property of Hirosaki City in 1993.
Since 2025 is the Year of the Snake, Shirahebi Shrine may become a popular spot. Please try it during your first visit to the temple 🐍✨
