GPS art of a snake drawn at one of Akita’s most popular snake spot🐍✨
This GPS art course takes you to the area around Hebino, a Akita’s spot associated with snakes, where you can draw a snake, the animal of the Chinese zodiac.
Hebino (蛇野: literally “Snake Field”), located in Akita City, Akita Prefecture, has several theories as to the origin of its name. The first is that Taiheizan, the symbolic mountain of Akita City, is named Orochine and its foot is named Hebino. The second theory is that the name Hebio is derived from the fact that the area is a field.
Since 2025 is the Year of the Snake, Hebino may become a popular spot. Please try it instead of a New Year’s visit 🐍✨
