This 9km GPS art course invites you to sketch a Ptarmigan, starting from the Otemon Intersection and tracing a scenic eastern loop around Ohori Park—a magnificent water park constructed from the ancient outer moats of Fukuoka Castle.
The cultural journey begins near Ohori Park Station, heading toward Akasaka Station past the historic Den Shiomi-Yagura Turret and the Fukuoka City Chuo Gymnasium. Winding south, the trail leads through the grand, forested grounds of Fukuoka Prefecture Gokoku Shrine into the trendy Ropponmatsu Station neighborhood. Heading back north, you will experience the cultural heritage at the Ohori Park Noh Theater and catch views of the picturesque Kangetsu Bridge over the central lake. The loop finishes by guiding you near the hillside Terumo Shrine, which honors the founding samurai lords of the Kuroda clan.
